Peacefully at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge Clinton on Thursday March 26, 2009 of Marion M. Evans formerly of Burlington aged 92 years. Born in Sea View on July 25, 1916 daughter of the late John and Eva (Cameron) Pickering. Wife of the late James W.E. Evans. Mother of Irene (Ronnie) Blacquiere, Rusticoville; Blair (Faye), Spring Valley; Elizabeth MacDonald, Suffolk; Mildie Evans-MacLean, Dunstaffnage; Lowell (Pam), Hamilton; James Jr. (Kathy), Irishtown; Janet (Brian) Thompson, Meadowbank; Linda Evans (Donnie Ripley) Halifax and Brian (Eleanor), Burlington. Grandmother to 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sister of Carolyn MacGougan, Charlottetown. Sister-in-law of Eileen Pickering and Elva Pickering both of Kensington. Predeceased by son David Evans, son-in-law Michael MacDonald, brothers Anson and his wife Eileen, Heber and Wallace Pickering, brothers-in-law Sidney MacGougan and Jack and his wife Kate Evans.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. Members of Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Branch # 9 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Monday at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Irishtown at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church or the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
