Hazel Stetson

On June 16,2026, after a week's stay at Prince Country Hospital, Hazel Ammie Stetson of South Freetown, age 94 years went to be with her husband Vernon Stetson  Her parents were John and Elva Heffel.  Born at Scales Pond on April 25,1932.

Mother of Beverley Semple, Carlene (Carson) Ricketts, Garland (Joanne) Stetson, and Grant (Tracy) Stetson. Grandmother of Leigh Semple, Paige Ricketts, Candace (Robert) MacAdam, Sarah Stetson, Jesse (Jessie) Stetson, Leah (Tommy) Collins, Emma (Brendon Griffiths) Andrew, Spencer Stetson. Great grandmother of Lukas Stetson, Grayson and Addison MacAdam, Hunter Semple, Peyton and T.J. Collins, Madelyn and Wesley Stetson. 

Sister Mary Day and sister-in-law Joyce Heffel, brother-in-law Doug (Marg) Clarke

Predeceased by siblings Anges (Ralph) Hardy, Linus (Fern) Heffell, Waldron Heffel, Myrna Clarke, Wesley (Eileen) Heffel, brother-in-law Eric Day, Alvin (Fausta) Stetson, sister-in-law Marion (Everett) Allen.

Resting at Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, no visitation by personal request. Funeral from Freetown United Church June 25, 2026 at 2 p.m. Burial at Freetown People's Cemetery following service.  If so desired contributions may be made to the Freetown United Church or Freetown People's Cemetery.
