The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at Prince County Hospital on Monday, May 4, 2026 of Gladys Lois MacLeod (Stavert) of Kensington aged 87 years. Born in Burlington on October 18, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Profitt) Stavert. Wife of Wallace MacLeod, mother of Kathy (David) Brown,Cheryl (Delmar) Noonan, Glennamae (Peter) Lauwerijssen, Stavert (Linda) MacLeod. Grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Sister of Bloyce (Sandra) Stavert. Sister-in-law to Judy Stavert, Myrna Mackey, and Alberta (Ron) Somers.
Predeceased by brother Donald Stavert and brother-in-law Jim Mackey.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for a visitation on Thursday, May 7 from 12:30 pm -2 pm followed by a funeral in the chapel which will be available to view online. Internment at Geddie Memorial Cemetery Springbrook. Donations may be made to the Southwest River United Church or the Geddie Cemetery.
