Brenda Lynn MacKay
1968-2026
Surrounded by the love of her family, Brenda Lynn MacKay passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10th at the age of 57 at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside, PEI.
Brenda is the beloved daughter of Nancy MacKay and the late Dr. W.A. MacKay. She shared a close bond with her siblings; Barb Dugay (Bruce), Elizabeth (Melvin Arsenault), Gary (Lynn), Douglas (Tracy), and Krista (Scott Bridges). Brenda found great joy in being an aunt, and loved to take care of her nieces and nephews; Sara Drew (Paul), Kayla MacKenzie (Brad), Nicole Arsenault (Keegan Marr) Tyler MacKay (Shelby), Brett MacKay (Bethany DesRoches), Koby, Ilena, Haiden (Steve Weiss), and Brett Bridges. Brenda will also be missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Prince Edward Home for their continued care of Brenda in recent years, as well as the staff at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Prince County Hospital for their compassionate care and assistance during this difficult time.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Tuesday April 14th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday April 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel which will be available to view online. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Prince Edward Home or the PEI Parkinson's Association in Brenda’s memory. Following the funeral service, Brenda’s family invites you to the MacKay residence to gather, share stories and celebrate her life.
