Carl Talmage Montgomery
1945-2026
Peacefully at Prince County Hospital surrounded by family and nursing friends on January 6th, 2026 of Carl Talmage Montgomery formerly of Travellers Rest. Born March 18, 1945, to the late Milton and Ella (Tuplin) Montgomery. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Donna (Day) Montgomery.
He will always be loved and remembered by his children Carla (Lance) Inman and Nancy (Andy) Boyer. Grandchildren Emily (Shawn) Rooney and Leah (Nic) Inman. He will be remembered as Gramps by his very special great grandsons Tatum and Monty Rooney. Carl is survived by his brother Milton (Raye) Montgomery, his sisters-in-law Joyce (late-Jean) Hallis, Marlene (Larry) Rondeau and by his niece and nephews.
Carl and Donna were passionate dairy farmers for more then 40 years. He loved the land and the animals, especially his Holstein cattle. Carl loved his gardens, his long morning walks and a game of crib that didn’t end in his opponent pegging out. He valued his good neighbors, friends and most importantly his family. He will always be remembered for his dedication, kindness and putting others before himself.
We the family would like to dedicate a special thank you to all the kindness and humanity that was shown to Carl by the nursing staff in the medical unit at the Prince County Hospital. The special singing of his favorite hymns by nurse Mechele on the morning of his death truly touched him and the hearts of his family.
