Laura Pearl Paynter

Surrounded by the love of her daughters on Friday, January 25, 2025, Laura Pearl (Ramsay) Paynter was called home. Born on February 9, 1941, and raised in Poplar Grove, daughter of the late Lewis and Gladys (Brooks) Ramsay.   Wife of the late James Paynter.  Mother of Kim (Bill) Stright, Pictou; Karen Deagle, Souris West; and Sandra (Paul) Derby, Cole Harbour.  Grandmother to Josh (Emily) and Tyler (Alicia) Stright, Nick (Bianca), Katie and Nathan Deagle, Sarah and Kaylee Derby.   Great Grandmother to Aliviah, Luke and Lucy and many grand puppies.  Sister of Irene Ramsay, John Arthur (Ann) Ramsay and Marilyn Ramsay (John Pineau).   Sisters-in-law Anna Johnstone and Kaye Paynter.   Also surviving are many cherished nephews and nieces.   Predeceased by sister Elizabeth Hogg and Bothers-in-law Herman Ramsay, Lloyd Ramsay, Claire Hogg, Myron Paynter, and Hilton Bryanton.

The family would like to thank the staff at Andrews of Summerside for the care, kindness and love shown to Laura.

Visitation at the Summerside Presbyterian Church on  Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am., followed by the funeral at 11 am.  Donations can be made to Summerside Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice.  Arrangements entrusted to the Davison Funeral Home Kensington.
