L. Ella J. Simmons

At Andrews of Parkwest Charlottetown on Thursday January 23, 2025 of L. Ella. J. Simmons formerly of Summerside aged 101 years.  Born in Mill Valley, PEI, July 13, 1923 daughter of the late John W. and Pearl (Bynon) Thompson.  Wife of the late Herbert Simmons.  Mother of  Brecken (Joyce) Simmons, Carmen (Genylyn) Simmons and Marlene (Wayne) Dooley.  Grandmother of  Chris (Catherine)  Simmons, Bonnie (Trevor) MacPhail, Rachel (Meade) Hahn, Sarah (Michael) Doucette.  Great Grandmother of Karen (Ricardo) Espino, Dylan (Ashley Ott) Boyce, Kyle MacPhail and  Emily MacPhail, Cameron (Katie) MacDonald. Great-great grandmother of Jayden Boyce.

Sister of  Carrie Beairsto and Willard Thompson.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by  Granddaughter Sheila Curtis,  great-grandsons Robert and Matthew Curtis, Brother Keith (Gladys) Thompson, Brother-in-law Charles Beairsto and  sister-in-law Shirley Thompson.  The family would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff of Parkwest Charlottetown, for all of the care and attention shown to Ella.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m.  Funeral Thursday at the Summerside Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. and will be available to view online after the service.  Interment later in the North Bedeque Cemetery.  If so desired memorial donations may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Summerside Presbyterian Church.  www.davisonfh.com
