Victor L. Greenwood

Victor Louis Greenwood, 66, of Cavendish passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, with his wife Moe (Muriel Bower) by his side always.

Vic grew up in North End Halifax where he and Moe briefly shared a rear garden fence. One particular evening he decided to walk Moe home and they have been together ever since. Married in 1979 Vic and Moe honeymooned on PEI and vacationed there most years with their only child Katie Jean-Marie (David Payne) Corner Brook, NL. Upon retirement from the City of Halifax in 2009 Vic and Moe relocated to Cavendish to ride their motorcycles, sail on the sea and sit in the sand.

Survived by mother Jean Greenwood, Sisters Elizabeth Landers (Lew) and Donna Sparrow (John). His in-laws on the Bower side who welcomed him in as part of the family from day-one. Carl (Shirley), Marjorie Low, John, Barbara Ann (Dan). Also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by father Leo Greenwood, mother and father in-law Marie and Eldridge Bower, Brother in-laws Chuck Bower, Robert Bower, Roger Bower, David Low, Courtney Slaunwhite, Ken Smith, Sister in-law Rose Marie Smith (Bowser), Sandra Bower.

A heartfelt thank you to the many doctors, nurses, and homecare workers that assisted Victor in his battles with cancer.

Resting at Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown
