Born in Long River on September 5, 1929. Son of the late Oliver and Pearl (Matthews) Paynter. Father of H. Reid (Colleen) Paynter, Allison, New Brunswick. Grandfather of Mathew Paynter, Chatham, Ontario, Robbi-Lee and Cole Paynter of Allison, New Brunswick . Step-father of John (Cheryl) deVries and James F (June) deVries all of Ontario. Step-grandfather of Sherry deVries, Ontario, Shelly (John) Daly, Alberta, Tamaira, Zach, Alex, Cordell, Maggie and Johanna deVries, Ontario. Step-great grandfather of Nicole, Devon, and Ethan Daly, Alberta and Colin deVries, Ontario.
Brother-in-law of Ernesteen Paynter, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Step-sisters Marjorie (Elmer -Deceased) Gallant, Summerside, Shirlene (Thane) Mann, Kensington.
Predeceased by his brother Jack, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harry (Grace) Van Schaik, Fred (Nora) Van Schaik, Cora (Hans) Angehrn, Gertrude (Carl) Elliott, All of Ontario.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m.. Interment in Geddie Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Clinton View Lodge Equipment Fund.
