Velma I. Paynter
1920-2015
Peacefully at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton on Tuesday April 28, 2015 of Velma Isabel Paynter, formerly of New Annan aged 95 years. Born in Freetown January 11, 1920, daughter of the later Frank and Mary (Jardine) Reeves. Wife of the late Archibald Paynter. Survived by her grandchildren Jody (Chris) Howard; Derrick (Katelyn) Curley and great-granddaughter Avery Howard. Aunt of Farrell (Kate) Reeves, Joan Reeves, Judy (Gary) MacGregor, Marjorie Ellis, Vicky (Eric) Proctor, Marilyn Reeves, Carol Henderson, Faye Wade and Glen Henderson. Also survived by her sister-in-law Jean Paynter and her children Wanda, Velda, Garth, Marsha and Darren as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, daughter Charlotte, Grandson Jamie Curley and brothers Clarence, Cecil and Arthur Reeves.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Thursday from 1-3 p.m. Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment later in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook.
