At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Sunday April 5, 2015 of Hubert F. Murphy of Kensington aged 87 years. Born in Norboro, September 4, 1927 son of the late Francis B. and Evelyn (Connick) Murphy. Husband of Anne (Campbell) Murphy. Father of Bob (Shelley) Murphy, Mike (Barbie) Murphy, Reg (Nancy) Murphy, Des (Carolyn) Murphy, Bonnie (Gaye) Hood, Marie (John) Jurcina, Barb (Garth) Arsenault and Chris (Diana) Murphy. Grandfather of 38 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. Brother of Mary (David) Campbell; Earle (Donna) Murphy and Gloria Scanlon. Brother-in-law of Leona (Don) MacPherson, and Mary (Fulton) Cousins. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Helen (Frank) Hughes and Vivian Murphy, brothers Allison (Phyllis) Murphy and Vernon Murphy, brother-in-law Leo Scanlon and daughter-in-law Della (Rowledge) Murphy.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Thursday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday at St. Mary’s-Holy Family Church Kensington at 10:30 a.m. Interment later St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Kensington Meals on Wheels or St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund, Indian River.
Members of St. Mary’s - Holy Family Council # 12465 Knights of Columbus Kensington will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.
