The Honourable Kenneth Charles Mackay, Q.C., B.C.L., M.C.L., K.C.L.J., F.S.A. Scot

1920-2014

The Honourable Kenneth Charles Mackay: Q.C., B.C.L., M.C.L., K.C.L.J., F.S.A. Scot, retired justice of the Quebec Superior Court, of Glenroy Farm, New London, P.E.I. passed away in Montreal after a brief illness on December 5th, 2014.

He was born in Montreal on September 29, 1920, the son of the late Marion Crowell of Halifax and Dr. Frederick H. Mackay, a native of Summerfield.

He is survived by his sons Dr. Frederick Charles of Saint Eustache and Iain Nicolas (Aki Shimazaki) of Montreal, his daughters Moragh, Meredith, and Victoria, his stepbrother Dr. Hugh Brodie, stepsister Heather Hodgson as well as grandchildren Hannah and Kaito and nieces Leslie and Lindsay Doig and former spouse Louise Boucher. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy Doig.

A graveside service will be held at the South Granville Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Tuesday August 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Following the service a reception will be held at the New London Community Complex, Civic Number 10221 Route 6, New London.  Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mackay Rehabilitation Centre 3500 Decarie Blvd, Montreal or the South Granville Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the Davison Funeral Home Kensington.
