Ian Lockhart MacMurdo

 

Ian Lockhart MacMurdo, age 80, of Kelvin Grove died peacefully on September, 9, 2014 at Prince County Hospital in Summerside.  He was born on October 22, 1933, the son of Percy and Lillie (Lockhart) MacMurdo.

 

Ian is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda (nee Stewart);  his children: Deborah MacMurdo (Matt Smith); Dale MacMurdo (Viki); Paul MacMurdo; Julie Handrahan (Robert);  His grandchildren: Rebecca MacMurdo; Matthew MacMurdo; Virginia Smith (Craig); Curtis Cheverie, Brittany Cheverie, Malcolm MacMurdo, Patrick MacMurdo, Sarah Michaud, Katie Handrahan; his great grandchildren; Lilly, Autumn, Evangeline, Emily and Chelsea. Brother of Eleanor MacQuarrie  and George (June) MacMurdo, Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brother-in-law R.W. "Bob" MacQuarrie.

 

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington where Members of the Kensington Lions Club will hold a Lions Memorial Service at the funeral home Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.  which will be immediately followed by  visitation until 9 p.m.  Funeral  Friday in the  Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.  If so desired contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
