 Alden Keith Ramsay

Passed away on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at the Prince County Hospital Summerside of Alden Keith Ramsay of Summerside aged 89 years. Born in Summerside on December 12, 1924 son and last surviving member of the family of the late James Abner Ramsay and Mary Blue MacDonald from Lot 16. Alden was raised and worked on the family farm until the 1950’s when he sold the farm and moved to Truro, Nova Scotia where he was employed in the lumber industry for a short time. He then moved to Hamilton, Ontario and was employed with Stelco Steel until his retirement. He missed the quite life of PEI and decided to move back where he spent his final years. Predeceased by the following brothers and sisters Keith, Annie (Leonard) Delisle, Leota (Maynard) MacKinnon, Gordon (Rose), Violet (Eldred) Simmons and Lillian (Stewart) McCully, nephew Robert MacKinnon and niece Elaine (Delisle) Bland.

He is survived by the following nieces and nephews Leota MacKinnon’s children James, Nova Scotia, Shirley, Ontario and Ann, Nova Scotia. Violet Simmons’s children Allen and Carol, Ontario. Lillian McCully’s children David, James and Gordon, Ontario and Ronald, Nova Scotia.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Saturday from 1- 1:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment Sunday in  Lot 16 United Church Cemetery at 10 a.m.  If so desired contributions may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
