Peacefully at home, on Tuesday January 24, 2012 of Douglas A. MacKay of Gillespie Ave. Summerside and formerly of Calgary aged 61 years. Born in Summerside on December 29, 1950 son of the late Hollis and Bertha (Lamont) MacKay of French River.
Husband of Judy E. (Slaunwhite) MacKay. Father of Mark (Carmen) Vazquez-MacKay, Josh (Jill) MacKay and Amanda MacKay all of Calgary. Grandfather to Isaac, Antonio and Noah.
Brother of Dale (Carolyn), MacKay ; Glen (Barb) MacKay, Valerie (Les) Oakes, Paul MacKay, Kent (Angelia) MacKay, Jennifer (Ron) Murphy, Jacqueline MacKay, Chris (Janie) MacKay and Clark (Karen) MacKay.
Step-Son-in-law of Ronald Grant. Son-in-law of Grace (Horne) Slaunwhite, (late Reginald William). Brother -In-Law of David (Suzanne) Slaunwhite, Robert (Karen), Slaunwhite, Ronald (Denise) Slaunwhite, Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Monday in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Spring Brook at 11 a.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to the East Prince Health Home Care Program or the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Calgary.
