Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday January 8, 2012 of Francis Joseph "Buddy" MacPherson of Kensington and formerly of Freetown aged 76 years. Born in Cape Breton on January 6, 1936, son of the late Martin & Margaret (Acker) MacPherson.
Husband of Louise (Pineau) MacPherson. Father of Florence (Myles) Birch, Summerside; David (Bev), Edmonton AB;Myles (Melanie), Kensington and Ann (David) Gallant, Summerside. Father-in-law of Gay MacPherson of Breadalbane.
Grandfather of Andy and Sarah Birch; Paige, Tyler, Devon, Rob , Kelly Dawn and Alex MacPherson and Griffin Gallant. Great grandfather of Tamara, Jordan and Sydney MacPherson and Faeriel Birch.
Brother of Joey (Edith), Summerside; Vangie (Lloyd) Snow, Cape Breton; Sissy Lang, Illinois and Agnes (Frank) Bowes, Colorado. Brother in law of Leo (Virginia) Pineau; Aubin (Elsie) Pineau; Bea (John) MacLean, Lorraine Pineau and Rita MacPherson. Also survived by his special niece Marilyn (Gordon) MacLeod.
Predeceased by his son Kenny and infant son Donald; his sister Theresa Farrell and brother Danny.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:30-9 p.m. No funeral service by personal request. A graveside committal service will be held Wednesday morning at People’s Cemetery, Freetown at 10 a.m. If so desired contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital.
