Stanley Kowalski, 78, of French River, P.E.I.. passed away peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday December 26, 2011.
Stan leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Maria (Wajda) Kowalski; son Robert Kowalski of Ottawa, Ontario.
Born in Newcastle Creek, New Brunswick on May 13, 1933 son of the late Stanley and Sophie (Pudo) Kowalski. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first born son Stanley Jr. in 2007. Stan married Maria in Bytom, Poland on December 21, 1966. He lived and worked for most of his life in Hamilton, Ontario, where they raised their two sons, before retiring in 2003 in the picturesque village of French River. He enjoyed woodworking, playing his accordion, reading and crossword puzzles. Stan will be sadly missed by his family and close friends in Ontario, Poland and Prince Edward Island.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for visitation on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., then forwarded to the Church of the Holy Family for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Reception following the Mass in the Parish Centre.
