Jerry (Grampie) was a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, friend, employee, and volunteer. Jerry was a meat cutter by trade, which showed in his love for food, especially a good steak and french vanilla ice cream. However, this was followed only by his love for hockey, which he played up until recent years. When he wasn’t playing hockey he was skating, coaching, and watching hockey. Jerry enjoyed traveling to visit friends and family, going to grandkids' activities, as well as fishing and boating trips with the grandkids. His volunteer activities included time working with St. Paul’s pre-marriage preparation program, hockey coaching (minor, junior, and senior), Summerside Lions Club, Latin American Mission Program (LAMP), and several community activities with his French River and area friends.
