Edward R. Connors

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital on Friday March 22, 2024 of Edward Roy Connors, 82, of Kensington and formerly Porters Lake ,N.S. Predeceased by his wife Marie Connors (Chapman), Sister , Mona (Queenie) Gaunt, Florida, and his sister in law Rhoda Chapman, Porters Lake.

Survived by his sister Marlane Selig, Truro and his brother in law Gordie Chapman, Porters Lake. Also survived by his three daughters, Karen (Patrick Spiteri) Australia, Kim (Scott Clark) Summerside, Kathy (Dave Chapman) Stratford. Special son in law J.P. Gallant and special friend Caryl Cummins. His eight amazing grandchildren whom he loved dearly and kept them wondering with his stories and tall tales over the years. Cory Clark(Jess), Alex (Pascale) Clark, Kennedy Clark(Taylor). Niko Spiteri(Stefan), Antonia Spiteri. Andrew Gallant(Rachelle), Christian Gallant and Renee Gallant. Ed was also blessed with three great grand children , Sadie Ellis, Luca and Charlie Clark. Also survived by His nephews Mark and Derek Chapman, Charles Naugle , nieces Gail Naugle and Kathryn Gaunt Jehle.

Ed spent 30 years serving his country and spread his time between the Navy and Air Force and then a number of years working and volunteering at the local hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour, NS. After retirement , Ed and Marie moved to Kensington P.E.I where they spent the winter months.The summers were spent at their favourite place, the ever popular" Penderosa Beach" Cottage that Ed built (Not by code of course) where many great times were had with family and friends. It wasn’t unusual to see 15-20 cars in the yard on a sunny summer day.

The Family would like to thank the staff at the "Mews" care facility in Margate for the wonderful care he received during his stay there and also to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Prince County Hospital for their great care and kindness .

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Evermoore Brewery on Monday, April 1st from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated if so desired.
