Edith H.L. Hammill

At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Wednesday February 28, 2024 of  Edith H. L. Hammill of  Middleton aged 70 years.  Born in Summerside, June 18, 1953, daughter of  William S. Cousins and the late M. Elaine (Bryanton) Cousins.  Wife of the late Desmond Hammill.

Mother of Ashley Hammill and D.L. Hammill and her chosen daughter Katie Gallant Walsh. Godmother of Courtney Hardiman Arsenault.  Sister of Darlene (Dave) McDonald.  Sister-in-law of  Betty (Les) Smith, Paula (Eric) Arsenault,  Bernard Lutes, Bernadette (Alan) Murnaghan, Doreen Hammill (Bob Seiler) and Corinne (Steve) Meek. Also survived by William’s special friend Dorothy Beairsto and several nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her brothers Marvin Cousins, Garth Cousins and Delmar Cousins, father-in-law and mother-in-law Austin and Marion (Murphy ) Hammill,  brother-in-law Leslie Hammill, and sisters-in-law Dianne Lutes, Peggy Hammill and Joyce as a child.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. No visitation or funeral service by personal request.  A private family interment will be held in the summer in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. If so desired contributions may be made to the Princetown United Church.
