Mary Noreen McQuaid

1927-2018

Mary Noreen McQuaid

Peacefully at the Summerset Manor in Summerside, with her loving family by her side, May 9, of Mary Noreen McQuaid, nee Reid.  Born in Hope River, she was the daughter of Walter and Mae (Cullen) Reid.  She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, (John) Alfred McQuaid in 2007.

Lovingly remembered by her 8 children, Kathy, Johnny (Marilyn Adams), Paula (Michael Picketts), Maureen, Mary-Carmel (Michael Nielsen), Peggy, Joanne (Garth Cole), and Michael (Veronica Ancrum).  Proud grandmother of  Jim Arsenault, Candace Arsenault, Peter (Heather) Arsenault, Angela Arsenault (Kegan MacKinnon), Chrissy Arsenault,  Melissa Picketts, Bailey Murphy (Jarrett), Jeana Condon, Daniel McQuaid,  Molly Nielsen, Ben Nielsen, Ashlea Mask (Graeme), Shannon Ochsner (Chad McQuaid), Adam McQuaid, Emma Cole, Hailey Cole, Taeonna Ancrum, Isaiah McQuaid, and 13 great-grandchildren. 

Dear sister of Kay Hennessey, Aline and Doreen Reid and sisters-in-law Joan McQuaid and Ellen Reid.  Predeceased by her parents, and brothers, Norbert,  Brendan (Louise), Fr. Wally; brothers-in-law, Brendon, Gerald, Frank, Mark, Jimmy, and sisters-in-law, Mary, Lucille, Laura, Marion, Alice and Peggy.  She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, former students, and friends.   

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home in Kensington for visitation on Friday from 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday at St. Mary’s-Holy Family Church, Kensington at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Alzheimer Society of PEI will be greatly appreciated.
