At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday February 4, 2018 of John Martin Dekker of Summerside aged 86 years. Born in Northam on February 1, 1932 son of the late Martin and Annie (Pauptit) Dekker. Husband of Vera A. (Rogers) Howard-Dekker. Predeceased by his first wife Beulah (Moase) Dekker. Father of Rodney (Sharon) Dekker and Susan Dekker-Inkpen (Paul) Inkpen. Stepfather of Faye Gillis (Linus- deceased) Linda (Roger) Cole and David (Sandy) Howard.
Brother of Marie MacDonald (Bennett-deceased), Adrian (Isabel) and Peter (Vicky) Dekker, Betty (Kenneth) Mann. Brother-in-law of Lorne (Shirley) Moase, Sheila (Don) Reeves. Grandfather to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Sister and brother-in-law Kathleen (Alfred) Mugridge and brother-in-law Norman Moase.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for family visitation on Monday. Public visitation on Tuesday from 1- 2:15 p.m. followed by the funeral in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment later in People’s Cemetery Summerside.
