Roma J. (Somers) Cole-MacLeod

Peacefully and surrounded by her family, at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Monday January 29, 2018 Roma J. (Somers) Cole-MacLeod of New London aged 81 years. Born in New London on March 12, 1936 daughter of the late Harry and Alba (Currie) Somers. Wife of  Herman MacLeod and the late Dawson Cole. Mother of David (Margaret) Cole, New London; Randy (Darlene) Cole, Kensington; Darlene (Allen) Cole, New London and Gail (Stan) Carr, Stanley Bridge. Grandmother of  Cory, Loretta, Chris Kevin, Kelly, Kerri, Curtis, Jennalee, Shawn and Matthew and 13 great grandchildren. Stepmother of Dianne VanBuskirk and Barry (Shelley) MacLeod. Sister of Margaret (Herbie) Paynter, Kensington; Sheila Brander, New London and Phyllis Thibeau, Kensington. Sister-in-law of Mae Bradley, North Bay ON.   Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Janie (Willard) Cole,  Lois (Wallie) Cole and a sister and brother in infancy,  brothers-in-law Ingham, Ivan, Francis, and James (Merle) Cole, Edwin (Margaret) Cole. James Brander, William Thibeau; sister-in-law June (Delmar) Crozier, and niece and grand nephew Nancy and  Ryan Baglole and nephew Dawson Paynter.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for family visitation only.  Public funeral service Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Spring Brook. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Thomas Cemetery Fund.
