The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital Summerside, on Monday, January 29, 2018, of David Elwood Paynter of Kensington and formerly of Calgary, Alberta aged 63 years. Husband of Sandra (McConnell) Paynter. Father of Thomas, Jamie, and Jeremy Paynter. Grandfather of Damon Paynter. Born in Summerside on October 9, 1954, son of Elwood Paynter (Isabel Palmer) and the late Lois (MacMurdo) Paynter. Brother of Fairlie (Stephen) McKnight; Neil (Ambyr) Paynter; Aileen (Duncan) Houston and Richard (Theresa) Paynter. Brother-in-law of Doug (Linda) McConnell and Bonnie Esterhuyzen. Nephew of Allison MacMurdo and Wilson Rudderham. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by father and mother-in-law Steven and Yvonne Nicholas.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for public visitation on Thursday, February 1, from 6-8 p.m. No funeral service by request. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery Freetown. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Damon Paynter Education Fund .
