George R. Pickering

At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Thursday November 9, 2017 of George R. Pickering of Clinton aged 95 years. Born in Clinton on November 5, 1922 son of the late Ernest and Edna (Bertram) Pickering. Husband of the late Rena C. (Nee Woodside) Pickering. Brother-in-law of Nelson Caseley, Don Woodside, Margaret Woodside, Valerie Woodside, and Charlie Schurman. Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his sisters Irene (Blois) MacEwen and Katherine (Earle) Taylor and the following brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ruth Caseley, Barbara (Donald) Harris, Phyllis (Lyle) Hawkins, Bonnie Schurman, Douglas, Ross, Scott and Ina Woodside.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday from 1 - 2:45 p.m. , followed by the funeral in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. Interment in the Margate United Church Cemetery.
