Myron MacArthur

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myron MacArthur age 69 years on Saturday, September 23, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. He was a resident of Riverview, NB and formerly of Kensington, PEI. Born in Summerside on June 2, 1948, he was the son of the late Myron and Jean Hope (Jardine) MacArthur. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 46 years Sheila (Ross) MacArthur.

After attending high school in Kensington, Myron moved to New Brunswick. He remained always an ‘Islander at heart’ and returned home on a regular basis. He worked at CO-OP Atlantic for 20 years before moving into a successful career in clothing sales with Tip Top Tailors and Moores Men’s Wear.

Myron is remembered for his charming personality, his ease in conversation and his great story telling. He is also remembered for his love of family, quick wit, sense of humor and being a sharp dresser. Myron followed in his father’s footsteps with his love of harness racing and returned home every summer for Old Home Week. Myron was a fan of all sports and was an avid golfer. He will be greatly missed by his golfing buddies. He loved to travel, especially on cruises with Sheila and family.
