The death occurred at Summerset Manor Summerside on Friday July 21, 2017 of Donald R. Waite formerly of Wildon St., Summerside aged 77 years. Born in Charlottetown on July 13, 1940 son of the late Edna Waite Bernard and stepson of late Arthur Bernard. Husband of Evelyn M. (Stewart) Waite. Father of Donna (Wayde) Giddings, Moncton NB; Kimberly (Leslie) Thomas, Kensington and Kathy (Anthony) Dingle, Kensington. Grandfather of Amanda (Steve) Waugh, Matthew Giddings, Miranda Dingle, Jonathan Thomas. Great-grandfather of Dylan and Rylan Waugh and Zoe Giddings. Brother of Evelyn (Daley) Comeau, Grant Bernard and Wayne (Irene) Bernard. Brother-in-law of Joyce Bernard (Gerry -deceased) . Special Nephew of Ruth Waite (Erskine-deceased). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Monday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Summerside. If so desired contributions may be made to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund or the Alzheimer Society.
