Lesley Elizabeth Strubel

1945-2017

Lesley Elizabeth Strubel

It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Lesley Strubel announce her passing on June 29th, 2017. Born in Birmingham, England on April 17th, 1945, Lesley was the loving daughter of the late Frederick Albert and Brenda (nee Dickens) Mason. Lesley is also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Lorenz and Barbara (nee Wettstein) Strubel.

Left behind to mourn her passing are her adoring daughter Miranda A.(Mandy), and her loving husband Josef (Peter) Strubel. Living relatives in England include her cousins Barbara Smith (nee Mason) and Stewart Dickens, and their families. Also left behind to grieve are her many loving German relatives.

A funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church in St. Eleanors on Saturday, July 15th at 10 a.m. While there will be no visitation, in accordance with family tradition, a reception will be held after the church service at St. Mary's Hall in Summerside.

Lesley's family lovingly invites all attendees to join in this continued celebration of the life Lesley lived, and the many lives she touched. This coming together will give all those that wish an opportunity to share their most cherished memories and happiest stories of Lesley, either by speaking or through the cards provided. The family will be deeply grateful to all those that can leave their tributes with them at this time.

Lesley was a nurturer. This was reflected in every aspect of her life. In honour of both her humanitarian and environmental ethics and beliefs, if so desired, contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders or the Jane Goodall Institute, in lieu of flowers. Lesley believed in the important work of both these charities a great deal.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davison Funeral Home, Kensington.
