Eric C. Sinclair

Eric Sinclair of Springfield, PEI, passed away suddenly at home on January 2, 2017.  Born on July 22, 1935, he was the son of the late Ethel (Day) and Crawford Sinclair.  Eric recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with his loving wife Lois (Bertram).  He was the proud father of Roger (Lisa) Halifax, NS, Doreen (Ronnie) Hiscock, Rustico, and Cathy (Shawn) McGee, Stanley Bridge, PEI; grandfather to Allyson (Tom) and Brett (Jessie) Hiscock, Matthew, Michael and Emma McGee and Abigail Sinclair; great grandfather of Bennett Hiscock and Vivian Wood. Eric cared deeply about his family, farming and his community.  He was happiest surrounded by his extended family or lending a helping hand to his neighbours and fellow farmers. Eric loved working the land and caring for his animals. He also applied his willing and capable hands to the PEI Liberal Association and was a faithful member of Summerfield and Kensington United Churches. Eric is survived by his eight siblings: Donald, Ewen (Mona) Brampton, ON, Barbara (Martin) Francoeur, Edith (Winston) Yeo, Allan (Elva), Blair (Laura), Wendell (Brenda) and Joan (Tina Pranger) PEI.  He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Grafton (Shirley) Bertram, Carbon, AB, and sister-in-law Hilda (Robert) Jorgensen PEI, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  A celebration of Eric's life will be held at Kensington United Church on Friday, January 6 at 2 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brigadoon Children's Camp Society (www.brigadoonvillage.org) or the Heart and Stroke,([email protected].) or www.davisonfh.com
