The death occurred at the Summerset Manor Summerside on Wednesday August 17, 2016 of Georgie Eileen (Lockhart) Pope formerly of Crozier Drive, Summerside aged 78 years. Born in Malpeque on November 14, 1937 daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Donald) Lockhart. Wife of the late Peter MacArthur Pope. Predeceased by her brother Gerald (Alice) Lockhart. Survived by children Nancy Pope, Edmonton, AB; David Pope, Salt Lake City, Utah and James (Karen) Pope, Bedford, NS; grandchildren Davis, Angela, Katie, Adele, Adam, Gabby and Sage; and her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Saturday from 1- 2:30 p.m., then forwarded to the Princetown United Church Malpeque for funeral service at 3:00 p.m., with interment in People’s Cemetery Malpeque, immediately followed by reception at the Malpeque Community Centre Civic # 2197 Malpeque Road.
