Dorothy Irene Stavert, RN

The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Sunday August 14th  2016,  Dorothy Irene Stavert RN, of Lower Freetown aged 92 years. Wife of the late Walter P. Stavert and mother to the late Barbara Burns. Mother of Donald (Judy), Gary, Peter (Carol), Nancy (Rohit Sarawat) and Elmer (Bev) Stavert, mother-in-law of Alan Burns, grandmother of Britt (Abbey) Burns, Jennifer (Adam) Murphy, Kimberly (Dave Irvine), Greg (Ashley), Nathan, Isaac, Alex, Sydney, Ravi  and great grandchildren Hudson, Olivia and Ramsey, also survived by her extended family in New Brunswick.  Dorothy was born in Penobsquis, New Brunswick on January 21, 1924 daughter of the late Elmer and Bertha (Dunfield) Smith. Predeceased by brothers Murray (Glendine) and Eugene (Lucy) Smith, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Olive and Scott Clark.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.  Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment in the Freetown People’s Cemetery.  If so desired contributions may be made to the Freetown People’s Cemetery Fund or the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
