James NORBERT Peters

The death occurred suddenly at home on Saturday July 9, 2016 of James NORBERT Peters of Kelvin Grove Rd Kensington, aged 63 years. Born in Charlottetown on June 17, 1953 son of the late Henry and Evangeline (Gallant) Peters. Cherished husband of Dorothy R. (Aylward) Peters. Proud and loving father to Erica Peters and Quentin Peters (Vanessa Hamill). Brother of Ronnie (Shirley), Lorina (John) Dunn, Edwin (Norma predeceased), Gloria (Earl) Walsh, Vernon (Irene), Gerard (Linda), Dougie (Vera), David (Janet), Marilyn Thorpe (Jack deceased), Rick and John (Frannie). Brother-in-law of Suzanne Peters (Eric deceased), Jean Peters (Reggie deceased) and Angela Peters (Roy deceased), Linda (Gordon) Crabbe, Bill (Paula) Aylward, David (Pauline) Aylward .

Predeceased  sister in law Noreen Peters, brothers in law Danny Aylward, and niece, Deanna Simspon.

He was past president of Prince County Family Services Bureau, Grand Knight of Council # 12465, Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and an active member of St. Mary’s Holy Family Parish. He was an avid community member supporting many individuals and organizations throughout the Island and a strong believer in today's youth.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Mass Thursday at St. Mary’s Holy Family Church, Kensington at 10:30 a.m.  Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River.  If so desired contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Members of St. Mary’s Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council # 12465 will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
