Margery Jane Hiltz

Margery Jane Hiltz (nee Beer) of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania and The Hebrides, Prince Edward Island, passed away peacefully June 22, 2016. Formerly of Coleman, Prince Edward Island.  Margery was born August 2,1924 the beloved wife of Arnold A. Hiltz for 63 years before his death in August, 2009. Margery is survived by two daughters: Sharon L. Hiltz and Deborah J. Hiltz, both of Fairmont, West Virginia; one brother Arthur T. Beer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and two granddaughters Meriel L. DeLong and Anna M. DeLong. She received her B.A.(Summa Cum Laude,1983) and M.A.L.S.(1988) from Widener University, Chester,PA. She was also a Guide for the Philadelphia Museum of Art (1988-2003) and had taken summer classes in Art History at Oxford University between 1991 and 1993. In 2003, Margery published a book: Christ Church, Media: An Historical Perspective on Symbolism in the Church.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Monday July 4 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. then forwarded to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Irishtown for funeral service at 3 p.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
