Joseph W. Wigmore

At the Kensington Community Care Home on Saturday April 9, 2016 of Joseph W. Wigmore of Kensington, aged 91 years. Veteran of the Second World War.  Born on the Wigmore Road on April 27, 1924 son of the late Walter and Catherine (Whitehead) Wigmore.  Husband of the late Esther P. (MacKay) Wigmore. Father of Jerry Wigmore, Kensington, David (Dana) Wigmore, Charlottetown and Barbara (Kevin) MacLeod, Calgary. Grandfather to Tian Wigmore, Tess Wigmore, Jakob MacLeod and great grandfather to Owen Wigmore-Tapp. Brother of Elva Clark, Myrtle Wigmore, Ralph (Betty) Wigmore, Eric (Ruth) Wigmore and Maudie Wigmore. Brother-in-law of Allan Weber and Daisy MacKay. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by brothers and sisters Glenn (Hammond) Ling, Lloyd (Dorothy) Wigmore, George (Elizabeth) Wigmore,  Helen (Jock) McLaine and Willard Wigmore; brothers-in-law  Keir (Anna) MacKay, Elwood Clark and Elton MacKay, sisters-in-law Joyce Weber, Louise (Gordon) Crossman Jean (Bruce) Ramsay, Muriel Brown (Ray Crozier and Harry Brown) and Ruth MacKay.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Sunday August 14th from 2-3:30 p.m.  A graveside committal service will follow in the North Granville Cemetery at 4 p.m. If so desired contributions may be made to the Kensington United Church.
