At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Monday March 7, 2016 of Leroy J. Desroches of Pleasant St. Kensington aged 65 years. Born in Alberton on March 11, 1950. Son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Mallett) DesRoches. He is survived by his sisters Anne Marie Boucher, Toronto, Ont; Vi (Gerry) Frigault, Innisfil, Ont.; Elaine Freeman, Barrie Ont. and Blanche (Bernie) McGrath, Mississauga, Ont; brothers Ivan (Julie) DesRoches, Moncton, N.B.; Frank (Mary Anne) DesRoches, Haliburton, Ont. and Albon (Maureen) DesRoches, Gatineau, QC. and sister-in-law Jeanita DesRoches. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ernie DesRoches.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington where members of St. Mary’s Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council # 12465 will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. followed by visitation from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s-Holy Family Church Kensington on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Simon and St. Jude Church Cemetery Tignish. If so desired contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
