James Leo Vincent McInnis

1960-2015

James Leo Vincent McInnis

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jim on September 24, 2015, at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Geri (nee Murphy) for 29 years. Geri was the love of his life along with their two children Jamie Packard (Mark) and Dayna (Braden). Predeceased by his parents Emmett and Naomi (nee McCarville). Dear brother of Charles, Patricia Stanbridge (Gary), Mary, Bill (Kathy), Teresa and Eddy. Dear son-in-law of Deira Murphy. Lovingly remembered by the McInnis and Murphy families.

He had a full life and will be in our memories for his devotion to his family, his loyalty to his friends and his cheerful disposition. Jim's career in telecommunications lead him through positions at Mitel, Nortel, Alcatel, and SSC. Jim was actively involved in coaching kids in soccer, hockey and Tae kwon-do. Jim was an avid runner, cyclist, hockey player and earned his first degree black belt. He had a passion for music. Jim had many more dreams to fulfill including running his first marathon in October. He will be dearly missed by all the those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation and funeral mass were held in Ottawa Ontario.  A service of committal will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Indian River on Wednesday October 7 at 11 a.m.  If so desired contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Completion of funeral arrangements entrusted to Davison Funeral Home Kensington.
