Elmer M.  Burt

Peacefully, with his family at his side, at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Monday September 28, 2015 of  Elmer M. Burt  of Kensington aged 79 years. Born in Sea View, October 31, 1935, son of the late Samuel M. and Annie E. (Champion) Burt. Husband of Rona (Paynter) Burt.  Father of Steven (Robin) Burt, Kensington; Debby (David) Sudsbury, Kensington; Rick (Glenda) Burt, Kensington; Jed (Marlene) Burt, Kensington, Normanne (Andy) Reese, Middle Sackville, NS and infant son Myron Don-deceased. Grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Brother of June (late Francis) Dunning, Kensington; Helen (late Ronald) MacDonald, Charlottetown; Lillian (Clayton) Warren, Summerside and Enid Chappell, Kensington. Brother-in-law of Jean Sherren-Burt, Summerside, Willie (Evelyn) Paynter, Winsloe and Dale Paynter, Burlington.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sisters and brothers Ruth (late Frederick) Folland, Norma (late Weldon) Crossman, Colin (late Marjorie) Burt, Ralph Burt, Don (late Elaine) Burt, Edythe Burt and Charles Burt. Brothers-in-law Roland Landry, Gerard Sherren and Sterling Chappell.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Kensington. If so desired contributions may be made to the PEI Humane Society or St. Mark’s Anglican Church.
